Privacy Policy.
The short version
The game keeps your information on your iPhone or iPad. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, in the app or on this website. This website sets no cookies and runs no scripts. We don't sell or share personal information. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to email us, and the visit records every web host keeps.
Who we are
Dominologist Dominoes and this website, dominologistdominoes.com, are run by James Barker III LLC, 7619 Sheridan Rd #3325, Kenosha, WI 53143. Email: support@dominologistdominoes.com.
Part 1. The app
What stays on your device
Your table name, friend code, Dominologist Dollars, jewelry, hand look, Score Book, workout log, rivals list, table chat and saved call-out lines are stored only on your device (and in your own backups).
These are kept in your device's Keychain, which is on your device too:
- your profile: table name, friend code, hand look and rap sheet
- your Dollars, jewelry, debts, Dr.'s excuses and waits, and the jackpot
- your Inmate books: money on your books, your locker, Rep, yard stats, Lay-in Slips and trophies
- your College record: courses, lessons, diplomas, quiz marks and student loan
- your record against each computer level, your Weekly Ladder progress and your Gym class records
- any game or tournament in progress
- your age answer (yes or no)
- the app's own clock, so changing the device's date or time doesn't shorten a wait
- your signer ID, and your last 20 signed Plea Bargains with the names of the people who signed them, including names typed in for guests
- a spare copy of any of these that couldn't be read, so it can be recovered
The Keychain items aren't synced through iCloud Keychain and are never sent to us. We don't receive any of it.
Your age
The first time you open the app, it asks your age: through Apple's age range sharing on iOS 26 and later, or by your birth date. It keeps only whether you're 18 or older, yes or no, in your device's Keychain. If you skip the question, that's kept as no. Your birth date and Apple's answer aren't saved, and nothing about your age leaves your device.
Things you choose to send or record
- Call outs and shared scores are sent by you, from your own Messages, Mail or share sheet. They go to the people you pick, and we never see them.
- Video call outs and pay-up videos are recorded with your camera and microphone, only when you tap record. They're saved on your device and only leave it if you send or share them.
- Gym classes for a workout you owe: if you start a Gym class that counts toward a workout you owe, and you've allowed the camera, the front camera films your sets from the moment the class starts. You don't tap record, and the camera's picture shows on screen while it films. The film is the proof for your pay-up. It's video only, with no sound. It stays in a temporary folder on your device and is deleted once the pay-up is ruled on, or when the class closes.
- Game clips and live streams: when you start a recording or a live broadcast, iOS records the game screen (and your microphone, if it's on). A clip stays on your device until you share or save it. A live broadcast goes to the streaming app you pick, under that app's own privacy policy.
- Contacts: when you pick a friend from your contacts, iOS gives the app only that one contact. The app never reads your whole address book.
- Location: only if you track a run or walk you owe after a loss, iOS gives the app your location while you're tracking. Measuring the distance needs precise location, so if you've set the app to approximate location, iOS asks whether to allow precise location for that run only. Only the distance is kept. Your route and location are never stored or shared, and nothing else in the app uses your location.
- Photos: when you save a score card or a video to Photos, the app can only add it. It can't see the photos already in your library, except one video you pick yourself for a pay-up: iOS gives the app only that video, and the app keeps a copy on your device for the pay-up.
- Music: if you allow it, the app shows and controls the song that's playing in Apple Music.
Purchases
Any purchase in the app is made through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment under its own terms. We receive no payment details. Dominologist Dollars are play money: they can't be cashed out, transferred or exchanged for anything of real value.
What the app connects to
Apart from Apple's own services (In-App Purchase, and Apple's age range sharing), the app makes no network connections of its own. Today it doesn't contact this website or any server of ours. A later update will add links to this website and let the app's Help & Privacy pages load their newest copy from it. We'll update this policy before that update ships, and those visits will be logged like any other visit (see "Visit records" below).
Part 2. This website
No cookies, no scripts, no trackers
This website sets no cookies. It has no analytics, ad or tracking tools, no scripts, no embedded videos or posts, and no forms. Its pages, pictures and styles come from this site only: nothing loads from other companies. There are no accounts, and nothing is sold here.
Visit records
This site is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. Like every web host, its servers keep a log of each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, the page you came from (if your browser sends it) and your browser and device type. The host keeps these logs for a limited time, for security and to keep the site running. The hosting control panel also adds them up into traffic totals (visits by day, page and country). We look only at those totals, and we don't use the logs to identify anyone.
Email you send us
If you email support@dominologistdominoes.com, we receive your email address, your name if your email shows it, and whatever you write or attach. Our mailbox is hosted by Namecheap Private Email (Namecheap, Inc.).
- Why: only to answer you. If you ask to hear first when something comes out (the game, a book, merch), we also send you that one note when it's out.
- Sharing: we don't sell or share your email. A hear-first request isn't a mailing list: we send that one note and nothing else.
- How long: we delete emails and the addresses in them within 24 months of your last message, or sooner if you ask. A hear-first request is kept until we send that note, or for 24 months, whichever comes first. After that, ask again.
- Adults only for hear-first notes: they're for people 18 and older.
Companies that help us
Our web host and our email provider (named above) handle this information only to provide their services to us, under their own privacy policies, which protect it at least as well as this policy does. Apple handles purchases in the app. No one else receives it.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Nothing on this site tracks you over time or across other websites, and no other company collects information through this site to do that. The only other company that sees your visit is our web host, as described under Visit records, and only to run and protect the site. So there's nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off: everyone gets the same no-tracking site.
Coming later
Some things aren't open yet, such as an email list, the players' community and a shop. Before any of them opens, we'll update this policy to say what it collects and which company runs it.
Children
The game includes simulated gambling with play money and will be rated 18+. It isn't directed to children. This website is for a general audience and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child under 13 emails us, we may reply once, then we delete the email and the address and never keep it as a hear-first request. A parent can email us to have a child's email deleted.
Your choices
- See, correct or delete what we hold: email us. We'll tell you what we have (at most, your emails to us) and correct or delete it.
- Change your mind: if you asked to hear first, email us to take that back at any time, and we won't write.
- The app: deleting the app removes what it stored on your device, except what's kept in the Keychain (the list under "What stays on your device"). iOS keeps those after an app is deleted, so reinstalling picks up where you left off. Erasing the device removes them too. Your backups follow your own iCloud or computer settings.
Changes to this policy
We'll post every change here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use an email address we hold, we'll email that person before the change takes effect. If online play, accounts or a community board come to the app, this policy will be updated before any information leaves your device, and the app will tell you.
